David Zeggert
David Zeggert has been producing Fine Art Illustrations and Oil Paintings for approximately two decades, resulting in various works being part of private and public collections, internationally.
Zeggert completed his graduate work at Syracuse University and was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study with Bob Dacey and Burton Silverman.
In addition to his graduate work, Zeggert received degrees in both Commercial Art and Design.
For nearly 15 years, as a newsroom artist and editor in the publishing industry, David received awards and recognition from organizations such as the Creative Quarterly, Associated Press, Syracuse Press Club, and Gannet News Service. Clients include OC investment, Brundage Publishing, Pinnacle, and Eagle Publications to name a few. In addition, David received a gold medal from the Philadelphia Sketch Club and as the result of a jury selection his portrait of Elon Musk was included in the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles.
David’s work is accomplished and painterly, based on traditional techniques, it depicts both straightforward and imaginative concepts that connect. He is an Illustrator, Classical Portrait Artist, and Professor of Art at an upstate New York college.
David’s primary consideration as an artist is to create illustrations and paintings inspired and derived from the investigation of people and paint, simultaneously never losing sight of the goal to create an image that exists as a painted image with intrigue.

Breakout
Mia transferred to SUNY Broome from Binghamton University, after the art program there didn’t meet her needs. After taking an illustration class with Professor David Zeggert, she was inspired to transfer – and was glad she did.
Mia transferred to Cornell University after completing her studies at SUNY Broome.
